This is a 100% Sauvignon blanc from a certified old vines bush vine vineyard planted in 1986 in the Bottelary ward of Stellenbosch, growing on weathered shale soils.
This wine displays a brilliant light-yellow straw colour. Aromas of white stone fruit, quince and citrus fruits emanate from the glass. There are hints of citrus blossom, crushed almonds and orange peel which are evident. There is a great intensity on the entry of the palate with citrus and greengage flavours. Notes of quince and grapefruit are on the mid-palate leading to a fantastic richness and hints of toasted almonds on the finish. There is a fantastic pithy texture towards the end with a stunning acidity which lingers.

This wine is a perfect accompaniment to fresh oysters, grilled fish and chicken dishes.

This is a 100% Sauvignon blanc from a certified old vines bush vine vineyard planted in 1986 in the Bottelary ward of Stellenbosch, growing on weathered shale soils.
The grapes were hand harvested into small grape crates and placed in a cold store overnight. The following day the grapes were bunch sorted and whole bunch pressed into tank for overnight settling without the addition of Sulphur dioxide before being taken to 400L old French oak barrels for fermentation. The fermentation is allowed to start naturally and once completed the wine is topped and matured sur-lie for 11 months with regular lees stirring. The wine underwent partial malolactic fermentation. This wine was bottled in January 2026.

This wine drinks well on release but will reward with cellaring for up to 10 years from harvest.
