These wines are the Introduction to our story and our wines.
Vinified from grapes sourced from vineyards with the intention of producing wines which are fruit forward and fresh, yet maintaining complexity and a sense of place. These wines are made with minimal intervention and without the use of new wood to retain the intrinsic varietal characters and terroir.
The Introduction - Red
A vibrant red blend based on Cabernet Sauvignon, Cinsault and Merlot. Matured in older barrels for up to 16 months.

The Chapters
The Chapters is a collection of terroir-driven, single-varietal wines that tell the story of exceptional vineyard sites.
Through years of exploring and sourcing grapes, I’ve discovered unique parcels of vines that capture the essence of their location, vines with the potential to produce wines of remarkable quality. This is a range where I can express these sites and varieties, producing small batches of exceptional wines from exceptional vineyard sites.
Each vineyard is carefully chosen for its soil, age, climate, and location, with a focus on older vines planted on poorer soils to deliver a pure expression of site and vintage. These vineyards are meticulously managed for quality, with winemaking kept intentionally low intervention to honour the terroir.
These are wine styles and varieties which I love to drink, lovingly handcrafted in my pursuit of outstanding South African wines.
CHAPTERS SWARTLAND CINSAULT
Hand-harvested from bush vines planted in 1998 on decomposed granite, Oakleaf/Clovelly soils in the Swartland. A mix of 50% whole bunches and destemmed grapes fermented naturally. Pressed after 28 days on the skins and matured in a concrete egg for 10 months.

Hand-harvested from certified old bush vine vineyards planted in 1982 in Bottelary, Stellenbosch. Grown on decomposed Malmesbury shale soils. Whole bunch pressed, naturally fermented in seasoned 400L old French oak barrels and matured sur lie for 11 months.

Hand-harvested grapes from a 2001 Polkadraai vineyard on decomposed granite soils. Naturally fermented after a 5-day cold soak and aged for 22 months in French oak barrels, 15% being new.
